Baba constantly on tour once reached the village Sindgi. There, the first house on road was of one Muslim woman Magduma. Baba was thirsty and asked Magduma to give him water. Magduma was angry at this afternoon intrusion and closed the door without giving water. Baba then came to the window and asked, “Mother, due to hot sun I am very thirsty, You should not refuse water for drinking. Please give water”. Magduma was angry and thought that by giving water this menace may go and so brought a pitcher of water and told “Drink this and go to next house”. Baba dipped his finger in water and said “Mother, this is hot. How can I drink this?” Magduma’s anger rose and she thought he is a mad man and any argument with him is useless. So she brought another pitcher and put it down. Baba dipped his finger and said again, “Mother this is also hot.” Again unhappy, she dipped her hand in pitcher and felt water was really hot. Magduma then thought that he is not any ordinary man. So she asked him “ I had certainly brought cold water; how it got hot? He smilingly said, “Because your head has grown hot with anger. Please give up anger and sit coolly for a moment and then see”. She did likewise. Water was cool. She realized Baba was not an ordinary man and from that day she became his devotee and started going for darshan. The Muslim had become a devotee of Hindu monk. So they put a ban on her visit to Baba.
She was very unhappy and silently prayed Baba to give her darshan in any form. Baba indicated that he will come in the form o f snake. So daily a snake would come, she would give it milk and then worship. Her husband was again upset. He lifted a stick to hit the snake. His hand became limp and lifeless. The snake uttered “have you not recognized me still” and then disappeared. When he told this to his wife, she told him it was Baba’s way of teaching him a lesson. She again worshipped Baba. Her husband’s hand was cured and he also became an ardent devotee o f Baba. When he narrated his story the Muslim people thought that God’s kindness is beyond caste and community. So many became devotees of Baba.
